Unemployed teen charged after buying motorcycle
A 17-year-old boy who is accused of withdrawing funds exceeding $800,000 from a woman between February and March is to face the Hanover Family Court today.
The teen will answer to simple larceny charges. Reports from the Lucea police are that the teen, who lives with the woman, searched her belongings and removed her debit card without her knowledge or consent.
It was further reported that the woman became suspicious as a result of the unemployed teenager purchasing a motorcycle valued at $190,000.
Further checks revealed that money was withdrawn from her account; hence, a report was made to the police.
The teen was subsequently charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of a relative and two justices of the peace.
