Woman charged for selling baked goods without valid permit

November 14, 2025

A Clarendon woman found selling baked goodies without a valid food handler's permit was slapped with charges during a snap raid in Four Paths on Wednesday.

She is 27-year-old Deandrea Dyer, a salesclerk from Howells Content in York Town.

Reports from the Agricultural Protection Branch are that officers carried out an operation in the area when they saw Dyer serving baked products inside a shop. The cops requested to see the facility's certification and her food handler's permit, in keeping with the Public Health Act.

While the documents for the shop were in order, checks revealed that Dyer's food handler's permit had expired.

She was informed of the offence and charged on the spot.

Dyer is scheduled to appear in the May Pen Court on January 15, 2026.
